Just finishing my three-year course of business management at University of Johannesburg was so relieving. Since I was going to look for a one-year attachment at any place in Johannesburg. I applied in several different companies. I got an attachment position at Mr Price located in Carlswald Shopping centre from end of March 2018 until end of February 2019. This was a great opportunity for me to get familiar with my job in an environment that is very busy.

I did not have any place to stay since my parents were staying in Pretoria. Just coming from university where I stayed at the campus and did not have property. I searched around for an affordable one bachelor apartment that is fully furnished. Located close to where I was going to start attachment. I found a one-bedroom bachelor apartment on OLX that was located in Hilltop lofts. Fully furnished and that was to let by Feel-at-Home Properties.

To my advantage i started staying at this apartment as it was walking distance to my workplace. I signed my one-year contract and started my attachment. Hilltop Loft 36 is the unit I was staying and fully furnished with all bedding and built in cupboards and one full bathroom. Living room with a plasma and beautiful couches. The full kitchen with built in cupboards, refrigerator, stove and other basic kitchen amenities was so modesty. The private balcony with outside chairs is where I would to sit to watch the beautiful complex from an upper view.

Hilltop complex offer greater security with a fully electrified perimeter fence and 24hour security with controlled access and is well managed with guards on duty 247 making it a more secure area. The place is crime free and well secured. The swimming pool was a refreshing area for me and my friends when they come over for the weekend and It also offers a communal braai where sometimes would enjoy evening dinners braaiing. The club house in the complex is also a beautiful area where many activities would take place and I would usually attend sometimes when I feel I needed something different.

Hilltop Loft is conveniently located in Carlswald, Midrand. There are many different cultures and the community will provide engaging cultural learning opportunities. Especially for me I enjoyed interacting with new people of different culture.

I would buy my groceries after work and get my medication at Netcare Carlswald Pharmacy or at Medi-Clinic Hospitals. Sometimes I would come late from work, I would just go and grab my food. The nearby restaurants such as Piatto Restaurant, Mugg and Bean Carlswald Midrand or Minnetonka Spur Steak Ranch for a change.
