Hilltop Lofts is conveniently located in Carlswald, Midrand. It has 192 apartments completed in 2007 and has an affordable rental. Hilltop Lofts Complex is surrounded by areas such as Mildridge Park, Halfway Gardens and Waterval.

Hilltop lofts is a themed community designed for students who wish to live in a culturally diverse environment. The community will include both international and domestic DU students as well as a graduate coordinator who will provide engaging cultural learning opportunities for students on a monthly basis.

Since I was studying as a student at Broadband College, I saw a necessity of staying close to my school. There are other close by universities such as The IIE’S Varsity College and University of South Africa. It is also conveniently situated close to a Gautrain station and the N1 highway runs through the middle of it making it ideal for commuters.

Hilltop Loft 22 is the unit I lived in and it’s a fully furnished one bachelor unit and have one bathroom, living room and kitchen.  Full kitchen with built in cupboards, refrigerator, stove and other kitchen amenities. It also has a private balcony with outside chairs where I could sit and study or do my assignments.

Hilltop complex offer greater security with a fully electrified perimeter fence, 24hour security with controlled access and is well managed with guards on duty 247 making it a more secure area. The swimming was a refreshing hobby returning home from a lecture so I would go and swim for about an hour just to refresh my mind. It also offers a communal braai where my friends will visit me over the weekend for a braai. The club house in the complex is also a beautiful area but I did not usually go there.

It is a great advantage staying in this complex because shopping is made easier. I would buy my groceries at Carlswald Lifestyle Shopping Centre and get my medication at Netcare Carlswald Pharmacy or at Medi-Clinic Hospitals. Whenever I am tired of cooking, I would go and buy food at Mugg and Bean Carlswald Midrand or Minnetonka Spur Steak Ranch for a change.

It is a very peaceful and comfortable place to study s and you have plenty of refreshing things to do whether indoor or outdoor.

This is by far the best places I have lived in.
